Nesting material set for bumblebees. The set consists of: 10 g kapok, 120 g wood shavings.
Kapok is harvested from the seed pod of the kapok tree. It is suitable as nesting material for bumblebee nesting boxes. Kapok wool insulates, is very soft and airy, does not clump or stick together, and balances temperature fluctuations. Due to the short fibers, bumblebees do not get caught in it. The kapok wool is natural and untreated.
This nesting material is sufficient for building a bumblebee nest. It is not recommended to stuff too much nesting material into the nest.
Everything should be placed loosely. Bumblebees usually rearrange the entire nest anyway. In larger colonies, it may happen that bumblebees remove excess nesting material.
By offering breeding sites for these insects, you support species conservation and the reproduction of bumblebees.
