Woid Herz Bumblebee House with Emergency Exit (H9) Natural
The bumblebee house is made of 20mm thick solid wood. The roof is weather-resistant.
The bumblebee box is equipped with a bumblebee flap that provides effective protection for the colony against flying insect pests such as hoverflies, wasps, and wax moths – the main pests.
The flap also provides protection against cuckoo bumblebees.
The principle of the bumblebee flap is that the bumblebee must lift it to enter or exit. Afterwards, the flap closes again.
On the back of the bumblebee house, there is an emergency exit to escape from predators that can only be opened from the inside.
Bumblebees are more efficient at pollination than bees. Unlike bees, bumblebees can also handle long and narrow flowers. Another difference is that bumblebees fly out even in cold spring weather and rain.

This wooden bumblebee house offers a protected nesting place
for bumblebees in the garden. In addition to the protective
entrance flap it features a practical emergency exit on the
rear side of the box. The exit can only be opened from the
inside and allows the colony to escape if predators threaten
the nest.
