Woid Herz Premium Bumblebee House (H6) impregnated twice with linseed oil
The bumblebee house is made of 18mm thick wood, impregnated twice with linseed oil.
The roof is weather-resistant. The bumblebee box is equipped with a bumblebee flap that provides effective protection for the colony against flying insect pests such as hoverflies, wasps, and wax moths – the main pests.
The flap also provides protection against cuckoo bumblebees.
The principle of the bumblebee flap is that the bumblebee must lift it to enter or exit. Afterwards, the flap closes again.
Bumblebees are more efficient at pollination than bees. Unlike bees, bumblebees can also handle long and narrow flowers. Another difference is that bumblebees fly out even in cold spring weather and rain.
Dimensions: bumblebee box 35 cm x 35 cm x 35 cm
The bumblebee house comes with a placement recommendation –
Nesting material (kapok and wood shavings).
This wooden bumblebee house offers a protected nesting place
for bumblebees in the garden. The wood is treated twice with
natural linseed oil, helping it withstand outdoor weather
conditions. The integrated entrance flap protects the colony
against insects and predators while allowing bumblebees to
enter and leave easily.
